Black is the color most courtyards forgive. Pollen, spilled espresso and fallen leaves disappear on it, and it reads crisp against travertine, terracotta and olive trees. This square two-top keeps everything in one matte black: a thin, fine-textured top with a slim edge, a narrow round column and a low round disc.
Specifying the top
For outdoor or semi-outdoor use, choose a surface that tolerates UV and rain:
- Exterior-grade compact laminate: thin, strong and stable; the usual choice for a profile this slim.
- Sintered stone: the heaviest and most heat-resistant option, which also helps keep the table planted in wind.
- Powder-coated metal: the lightest, easiest to move, but warm to the touch in direct sun.
Base
The disc is sized to roughly two-thirds of the top width; a heavier disc is advised for windy terraces or near umbrellas. A levelling glide is fitted as standard because outdoor paving is laid to a fall.
A 24–28 in (60–70 cm) square suits two covers; for four, use a 32 in (80 cm) square. Indoor versions use the same base. Size and top material are confirmed on your drawing.
