A grand dining hall of stone walls and terrazzo floors needs warmth at table height. This set puts walnut where guests touch and keeps the metalwork to two quiet accents: a dark steel plinth at the floor and brushed brass plates at the chair joints.
What the set includes
- Pedestal tables in square, four-top and long-table sizes. The column is built from two walnut planks with a slim metal reveal between them, standing on a low rectangular steel plinth. Long tables use two columns.
- A-frame armchairs in walnut, with splayed legs, a curved back rail that wraps into the arms, cream leather-look seat and back pads, and square brass plates bolting the back rail to the frame.
Why this base
A plinth base keeps the whole footprint inside the top, so chair legs never fight a cross foot, and the low steel plate adds the mass a tall walnut top needs to sit still. The split-plank column reads lighter than a solid block, and the metal reveal echoes the brass on the chairs.
Tops are finished in commercial lacquer or 2K polyurethane to stand up to wine and sanitiser. Table sizes, timber tone, upholstery color and brass finish are confirmed on shop drawings before production.
